Harlequins win Amlin Challenge Cup

23 May 2011

Harlequins became the first side to win the European Challenge Cup three times in stunning style on Saturday with a dramatic last-ditch 19-18 victory over Stade Francais at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Quins, who train at Surrey Sports Park, appeared to be out of it with seven minutes remaining, trailing 18-12 to the French side. But Joe Marler and Danny Care created a try for wing Gonzalo Camacho with three minutes left, and Nick Evans composed himself to land the crucial conversion.

The win will see Harlequins compete in Europe's premier competition, the Henieken Cup, next season. Congratulations from all at Surrey Sports Park.
